For an interesting and active retirement

The University of the Third Age (U3A) is a non-profit international organisation for ‘third agers’ i.e., retired people or senior citizens.  There are branches in over 36 countries with more than 28 independent branches in South Africa including five in the Johannesburg area. U3A Joburg North have a dedicated committee of volunteers who have been offering an important range of activities to retired people in our area for over 10 years. At U3A learning is purely for pleasure. No qualifications are required for admission, and none are awarded, as fellowship and love of learning are the focus of the organisation.

We would encourage our members to take part and volunteer or to become a committee member. To also recommend speakers and subjects for our upcoming Monthly Meetings, and new ideas for Interest Groups and Excursions.
